GENRE-BENDING PARTNERS HERE TO INTERRUPT YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING
From eclectic perspectives of partners Kylie Hazzard and Cameron Black, Sand Box embodies the idea that creativity is an ever changing landscape. Together, they tackle strange and experimental, while exploring the absurdities of our world, and bringing the listener into a shared moment, along with their shapeshifting live band.
Based in Los Angeles, Hazzard and Black are established creative professionals in the music and film industries, who quickly began various collaborations after meeting in 2019, such as film composing and session work. Their various talents are now joined into Sand Box.

"their latest single “Free” is an absolute joy to listen to."
- Lost In The Manor
"a level of coolness and calmness that only musicians as assured in their vision and presentation are able to bring to the fore"
- Find No Enemy
"...highly atmospheric, lo-fi rock, indie electronic hybrid, with an experimental flavor, unleashing nostalgia, tranquility and mystery, while its strongest elements are the luscious vocals, a seductive saxophone and an almost hypnotic rhythm, that will carry you to a state of pure bliss and serenity."
- Last Day Deaf
"‘Free’ feels more controversial and euphoric than the group’s previous releases. Perhaps is the provocative look at American culture implemented in its lyricism: together with the energetic and groovy instrumental, Sand Box manage once again to explore the unusual, looking deeper into the nuanced behavioural patterns of today’s society."
"It’s no surprise that the duo, also creative professionals in the film industry, have firm grasp of atmospheric engrossment within this stellar production. The slithering brass, buzzing guitars, and hypnotic vocals dazzle with a sound that’s both meditative and nocturnal-minded in tone."
